NEWS – Radio Play and New Album on the Way

Yes, the rumors are true, Casual Fantastic will be coming out with a new album this spring.

FURTHERMORE, it will be a DOUBLE ALBUM, because we wanted to go big!

And the title? The Wingle and the Wangle.

What are the wingle and the wangle? Get the album when it comes out and perhaps you will figure it out!

MEANWHILE, we are pleased to report that we are still getting radio play on the college and independent radios in these United States!

In the last three months Casual Fantastic songs have been played more than 200 times all around the country! A special thanks to WDCV (Carlisle, PA), WMTS (Murfreesboro, TN), WBNY (Buffalo, NY), KFJC (San Jose, CA), WRPI (Troy, NY), KPRP (Portland, OR), WLOY (Baltimore, MD), KCVU (Boulder, CO), Portland (OR) Radio Project, and all the other stations who keep playing Casual Fantastic songs!

What were the top 4 Casual Fantastic songs played in the past 12 weeks? So glad you asked, we were curious too so we looked it up!

NUMBER 4: Crazy in Love
Clocking in at number four, and from our debut album High Voltage Fever Dream, we guess people are still crazy about 2021’s Crazy in Love! All told probably the most played song on the radio since its release. Secret: All the stories are based on real events!

NUMBER 3: Such a Fool
About a relationship that never got started, even though I had so many good times planned. Despite not being particularly fast, the song has a winsome blues-jazz quality, a great organ solo by Caleb Cliff, and an overall classic sound that make it easy to slide into any DJ’s  playlist.

NUMBER 2: Nothing You Can Do
Something of a sleeper, it was not played at first on the radio, this mid tempo indie rock drama is about someone no longer able to connect to her family–so not surprised it has eventually found a home on college radio, where those emotions runs high. From 2023’s The Big Reveal.

NUMBER 1 Cultural References
Something we observed, though not entirely reflected in this list, mostly it’s the uptempo songs that get the play on radio–not matter how independent or adventurous the station. Well this is that song from The Big Reveal album–a very 90’s sounding indie rocker about a relationship built upon cultural references.
